Your recording is uploaded to India-based servers. Metadata is stripped: no GPS coordinates, no device ID, no identifying timestamp.

For the last decade, India's AI industry has been trained on data collected in America and Europe. It has learned to see American roads, hear American accents, and understand American kitchens.
This is a problem. Not just technically — but strategically. A nation whose AI systems are calibrated against foreign experience is a nation whose AI will always fail where it matters most.
Birha exists to fix this: build India's foundational data layer — collected by Indians, reflecting India, serving India's technological self-reliance.

This is why we pay well. Your data is not trivial. It is rare, necessary, and irreplaceable.

Do I need any special equipment?
Just a smartphone with a working camera and microphone. Most tasks work on Android or iOS phones made after 2019.
Who can join? Are there age or location restrictions?
Anyone 18+ from Indian states and union territories can join. NRIs are not eligible now. Minors cannot participate.
How quickly do recordings get approved?
Most recordings are reviewed within 24 hours. Complex tasks may take up to 48 hours.
What if my recording is rejected?
You get a specific reason and practical tips. Your next attempt does not count against you.
Is there a minimum earning before I can withdraw?
No minimum. Even ₹1 can be withdrawn. Payments go every Monday to your UPI ID.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
You can request full deletion any time. Already delivered anonymised data cannot be recalled, but all future use stops immediately.
Is Birha a government scheme?
Birha is a DPIIT-recognised private startup, not a government scheme.
How do you ensure contributors are not exploited?
We publish earnings data, disclose buyer categories, pay above-market for quality data, and let contributors withdraw any time.
